Annual Kharkov Young Scientists Conference is an
event that attracts over 100 participants from all the regions of
Ukraine and Russia each year. It is organized by our partner, IRE Young
Scientists Council, YSC (www.ire.kharkov.ua/ysc) and traditionally
features 5 sections: Microwave engineering; Propagation and remote
sensing; Solid state physics; Theoretical electrodynamics; and
Biophysics.
In 2006, for the first time in conference history,
KNU OSA Student Chapter offered a special prize for the best paper in optics, which
consisted of a diploma and a student membership in OSA.
In 2007, KNU SPIE & OSA Student Chapters will
organize a new conference section "Optics and Photonics" in
the frame of the conference. We will prepare
an information booth, and will award prizes for the best presentations
in optics or related fields. The project will be implemented in
cooperation with
IRE YSC.
